The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust is delighted to announce that it has made a donation of £500 to the Bill Nicholson Memorial Fund as part of the celebrations of the Club's 125th anniversary.
The Trust was invited to place a one page congratulatory message in the commemorative souvenir programme for the Aston Villa game, which marks the official celebration of the anniversary. As many Trust members and non members alike had contacted us voicing concern at the £10 price of the programme, coupled with the Trust Board's own concerns, the Trust Board felt theTrust should not endorse the price by placing the notice, which for the record was offered to us free of charge by the Club.
However, The Trust did want to mark the occasion of the 125th anniversary, and as all net proceeds from the programme were going to the Bill Nicholson Memorial Fund (which supports football at a grass roots level in the Tottenham area) we decided to make a donation to this worthwhile cause, in the name of the greatest individual to grace our Club.
The Trust would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tottenham Hotspur Football Club on reaching this milestone and we look forward to the next 125 years.
